A total refurbishment of an existing garden villa of the 80’s in the neighborhood of old Kifissia was an intricate mater. The superposition of an exterior insulation on the walls of the residence offers us the unique opportunity to eliminate additions and different materials and focus on the geometric clarification of the form. At the interior, putting down some walls and linking the fragmented space is our main concern, all the way through to the south garden and its ample light. The use of concrete plaster at some walls as well as the construction of a fireplace both create a system which converses with the system of white walls. Hidden light sources at the ceilings let artificial light to penetrate at the interior breaking the boundaries of space.
