HIGHWAY FACILITY STATION ASRPORYRGOS | 2000

Fleeting architecture, buildings perceived through high speed movement.

Having a highway as the actual site was the ideal place to develop an architectural design based on the concept of movement. Arc shaped metal trusses is the structure of the fluid forms. The generous spaces allow for multiple  functional adaptations.
The cladding is enhancing this motion by using glass and corrugated metal panels. The passing of time is caught by the reflective and transparent qualities of the building.
And, as day becomes night, the building continues to be a beacon: a place in movement along one’s destination.ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: H. GOUNAROPOULOS-A. KOSTIKAS O.E., META ARCHITECTURE
